Albert’s Organics, America’s largest, most knowledgeable organic, fresh foods distributor and subsidiary of United Natural Foods, is seeking a Fresh Buyer for our newest facility located in Charlotte, NC.

This exciting position will conduct replenishment buying of fresh category, new product sourcing, interfacing with sales department on purchasing initiatives while maintaining strong vendor relationships.  Essential duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining regular communication with sales team members on new products, sales and marketing goals; conducting data entry into purchasing system for pricing, promotions and other activities; maintaining and overseeing pricing and margins; developing sales and promotional materials towards top-line sales and margin growth for the region; expanding business with existing customer base and develop strong customer partnerships to ensure the success of fresh program.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience, 1-3 years experience in replenishment buying and inventory control management; other perishables experience, organics and natural products a plus.  Must have strong negotiating skills, excellent communication skills, ability to effectively multi-task, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be a strong team player.
