Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager for their fruit and vegetable processing operation located in Texas.  The General Manager is responsible for the successful management of all processing operations, procurement, transportation and product safety.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of Operations with special focus on labor cost and yield management.

• Responsible for procurement of all raw materials.

• Regulate inventories of product to insure minimum product loss and maximum product movement.

• Meet production goals in an efficient and cost effective manner.

• Responsible for the P/L Statements and ensuring that all areas of deficiency are reviewed and corrected, and all areas of success are maintained.

• Determine and establish pricing on a daily basis.

• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with food safety, quality assurance, OSHA and company policies.

• Develop new product lines.

• Ensure accurate production reporting.

• Maintain a consistent focus on customer service and satisfaction throughout all departments.

• Maintain existing customer base and develop new business relationships.

Requirements:

• Four year is degree is preferred.

• Minimum of five years experience in fresh-cut processing management.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.

• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

• Must have prior experience in production scheduling, personnel scheduling, and inventory management.
