JOB SUMMARY: A full time position available in the Information
Services Department in Salinas. The position involves installing,
configuring, maintaining, supporting
and optimizing internal network hardware and systems software. These
responsibilities include, but are not limited to, support to PC users,
installation, configuration, and troubleshooting wide area networks and
associated telecommunications assemblies, as well as the support and administration
of Windows Server environments and associated applications. This position
will also assist in network security risk assessment, analyze and resolve
communication systems problems, and provide user training.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of BS in
computer related field of study with three years of work experience as a
computer technician and/or supporting computer networks. Must have solid
troubleshooting skills. Must have a good working knowledge of LAN/WAN
deployment. Must be a self-motivated, independent learner and a team
player, adaptable to situation and schedule changes as necessary. Must be
willing to support and if needed travel to remote office locations in Texas and
Mexico. The individual must possess an intimate working knowledge of
network technologies (TCP/IP) and implementations. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills
are a must. Advanced experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft
Windows Server products required. Qualifying candidates must possess a
valid CA driver’s license and eligibility for auto insurance is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: PC server and
workstation configuration, troubleshooting, experience with Cisco equipment,
including routers, Wi-Fi, and VOIP system, understanding of data communications
protocols and applications. Knowledge of network configuration, Active
Directory and Exchange Server.
