Sales Account Executive

Our client is seeking a experienced and polished Sales Account
Executive in Southern California. The individual will
manage a sales distribution route of major retail accounts in
Southern California. This is a high visibility role and the
Company seeks only the highest qualified candidates for this
position. Works closely with account management and purchasing
staffs to develop and stimulate sales. Sells all types of business
or product lines, new items, promotions and Company programs,
receives approval for system-wide sales. Serves as a key
communications link between assigned accounts and Produce
management.
Responsibilities:

Establishes and
maintains a regular schedule of sales and service calls on
assigned accounts. Works closely with account management and
buyers to stimulate interest in products, promotional campaigns,
and services.

Makes presentations
to account management to sell new or additional product lines
and obtain approval for system-wide sales. Achieves established
weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.

Introduces customers
and members to new products and promotional campaigns. Allocates
shelf space for new item placements providing written
communication to the customer and merchandiser. Takes every
opportunity to obtain additional shelf space for products to
maximize sales

Attends regular
sales meetings with Produce management to stay updated on
products and promotional opportunities. Keeps management
informed of activities at the chain headquarters to include
attitudes, problems, ideas, and needs.

Serves as a
communications link between key accounts and Unified (Sales,
Purchasing, Distribution, etc.). Obtains feedback from chain
staff on products, promotions, and services.

Works closely with
customer to evaluate general merchandise sections and suggests
changes in the product mix according to individual store
demographics.

Provides office
support on issues related to Produce brokerage including
sourcing of products, negotiating price, tracking deliveries,
invoicing, and resolving any vendor/customer issues.

Creates and manages
a weekly independent advertisement for members and groups.
Job Requirements:
One to two years of college or equivalent work experience
Four to five years related grocery chain sales experience,
preferably as an account representative or sales representative.
Must have experience
working independently without direct supervision.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of produce products, suppliers, and
retailers. Must have demonstrated knowledge of small store
merchandising practices and standards.
Sales ability demonstrated by a history of achieving and exceeding
sales forecasts.
Must have demonstrated
ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Must be fluent in
English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
Must have a valid
drivers license, proof of auto insurance coverage, and a safe
driving record.
