Job Description:

Are you a customer focused and sales minded leader looking for an opportunity within a fast-paced industry? If you are an experienced negotiator that is highly motivated with strong management and communication skills, who is not afraid of a challenge and can balance multiple competing priorities at a time than this is the role for you! This position will have heavy customer management responsibility for an existing book of business, identify growth within that book of business and assist in new growth within a team environment. This is a leadership role in a high velocity, high energy sales environment. This position will develop and collaborate with multilevel internal/external relationships to provide customer support in accordance with organizational standards and direction to maintain customer loyalty. We are not only looking for someone to be a champion of the network, but also to resolve complex issues while looking for new opportunities for growth.

Core Responsibilities:

-          Support organizational growth

-          Focus on growth opportunities with existing customers

-          Cultivate and expand existing business relationships through frequent communication and regular customer visits

-          Establish new customer opportunities annually to include participation in RFP’s and securing new business for the Pro*Act network

-          Work to achieve customized business solutions for customers

-          Apply a high level of business acumen to develop, monitor, and negotiate program/project specifications and budgets

-          Work within the industry to strengthen—and raise awareness about—the benefits that Pro*Act brings to produce supply-chain management

-          Develop a complete perishable category program that results in customer operating efficiencies 

-          Facilitate and mediate communication between internal support and external customers to fulfill contractual obligations

-          Ensure customer projects and needs are implemented according to schedule

-          Identify opportunities to increase performance with existing customers

-          Plan, direct and deliver informational presentations to high-level customer and stakeholder audiences

-          Annual contract management

-          Travel budget management

-          Goal setting that align with the overall company goals and company values

-          Ensure customer reporting information is timely

-          Schedules and conducts business review with all customers

-          One call solution for customers to address areas of improvement along with business development

-          Focus on program compliance

-          Effectively manages and works with all members of the Pro*Act network

-          Utilizes client services support team to effectively manage customer information flow and timelines

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skill Set:

-          Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience

-          Five (+) years B2B consultative sales experience with C level or mid-level decision makers

-          Supervisory experience a plus

-          Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting and business office operations

-          Familiarity with foodservice and/or produce Industry

-          Proficient presentation skills with small or large groups

-          Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) and CRM
