Position Description
Supervises receiving, quality control, re-packing, and shipping
functions as directed by the facility manager. Assists manager to
assure that the location is in full compliance with Food Facility
Safety regulatory standards and policy. Will be responsible to learn
and understand all the Facility Manager’s functions as it relays to
current operations and day to day functions of completing the
receiving, repacking, shipping, and inventory control for all facets
of the Rosemont Farms functions.
Responsibilities
• Execute the Rosemont Farms standard QA /QC sheet in both written
and EXCEL form.
• Collaborate with all the sales teams in Boca Raton that used the
facility and other Rosemont Farms quality personnel on specific
issues.
• Collaborate with USDA Produce Inspectors for needed quality
federal inspections.
• Execute field and local warehouse Quality checks in coordination
with the facility manager, quality manager, and sales team members.
• Supervise those personnel assigned to you as on a temporary basis.
• Conduct inventories as established in the Standing Operating
Procedures.
• Learn all the basic functions of the day to day operations of the
facility to include, receiving, quality, repacking, shipping,
inventory control, and maintenance.
• Learn produce industry and regulations
• Ability to compile information from various corporate departments
and vendors
• Uses skill in exercising initiative with resourcefulness, sound
judgment and an ability to solve problems and make independent
decisions
• Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct
supervision
• Interact professionally with other employees, customers and
suppliers
• Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for
communicating and coordinating work efforts with other managers,
employees and organizations
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced
environment
• Requires excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication
skills
• Proficient computer skills including GroupWise, Word and Excel
Physical demands
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically
required to be in both a sedentary and mobile position. And,
typically required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle,
or feel objects such as keyboards, telephone, fax; reach with hands
and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk
and hear bend, and stoop to coordinate work.
• Regularly adjusts sets up, equipment and tests or operates
computer equipment, fax and copier to generate input and output and
transmit data.
• The employee is required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required Qualifications
• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar position or a Bachelor’s degree
