Duncan Family Farms LLC is a grower of more than 2,500 acres of organic produce in the West Valley of Phoenix, Arizona as well as 650 acres in New Cuyama, CA.  We are a privately owned business that has been growing steadily and we are seeking an experienced and responsible Cooling Facility Supervisor who will report to the Cooling Facility Manager out of our Goodyear, Arizona location.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing and shipping products or materials.

• Must be able to oversee the direct supervision of Quality and Sanitation Technicians to ensure all Quality, Food Safety and Sanitation guidelines are implemented and adhered to, collaborate with Technicians to follow up on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) deviations, and report Standard Operating Procedures to the Manager.

• Must be familiar with operation of chiller and Hydrovac and should be able to perform the routine maintenance.

• Must be able to review invoices, work orders, consumption reports and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and issue work assignments.

• Work will involve planning as well as execution of the plan, record keeping, and supervising crew members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a related Quality Control field with previous food production experience;

• Knowledge of farming concepts and methods;

• Attention to detail;

• Must be able to trouble shoot;

• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively;

• Able to set priorities, execute and deliver on commitments even with high degree of uncertainty, ambiguity and continuous change;

• Willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the farm;

• Basic computer skills and Smart Phone use skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Emailing)

• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)

• Must be available and willing to travel to satellite locations
