Basic Purpose or Mission
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Maximizes company sales and
profits through direct sales to accounts in an assigned
territory. Calls regularly on accounts to develop
orders, coordinate delivery and maintain a high level of
customer service. Develops new accounts from account
prospects in the assigned territory. Provides feedback
to all facets of company regarding products and
services, activities of competitors and customer needs.
This position is accountable for providing leadership
for sales initiatives to assure:

Plan and achieve
annual growth in account penetration, gross profit $ and gross
profit % improvement
-
Personally contact
and secure new business accounts. Manage all accounts and other
assigned accounts
-
Responsible for the
sale of assigned products throughout assigned geographic region
or customer group to meet planned objectives as to sales volume,
market penetration, profitability and selling cost.

To develop and
expand existing and new accounts throughout the targeted region.
-
Provide input such
as: relevant market information, sales and marketing strategies,
vision and goals.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develops and
implements sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.

Achieve maximum
sales profitability and growth by effectively selling the
company's products and/or related services.

Achieve targeted
sales growth for accounts at a rate and profit margin consistent
with the strategic business plan.

Ensures sales and
profit margin goals for the assigned account are met or
exceeded.
-
Under minimum
supervision, develops and maintains customer accounts in order
to increase sales and profits. Implements sales strategies,
calls on and ensures adequate sales service.
-
Ensures business
relationships with accounts are managed in a way that ensures
that all markets and accounts in the company receive and retain
good will.

Works individually
with sales, customer service, marketing, CATMAN/purchasing,
operations and other departments to reach company objectives.

Prepares market
analyses to determine customer needs, give input on price
schedules, and discount rates.
-
Represents the
company at trade association meetings to promote company and
product line.

Delivers sales
presentations to customers.
-
Meets with
customers, maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing
deals.

Monitors activities
and products of the competition.
-
Performs other
duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
One to two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education

Language Skills

speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.
Mathematical Skills
