OUR COMPANY STORY
The vision of Green Valley Farm Supply was born out of a desire to
meet specific needs of individual growers in the Coastal California
and Desert production regions. This vision came to fruition in the
Salinas Valley in 1999. In order to best serve the customers within
the dynamic agricultural production industry, the organization was
structured into three separate entities: Green Valley Farm Supply,
Inc.- Crop Protection Chemical, Fertilizer, and Farm Supply
warehousing and sales. Pinnacle Application, Inc.- Field services
offering a full range of custom application and ground work. Kennedy
Farm Services, Inc.- Full service crop consultation.
We currently operate out of two strategic locations. Our centralized
location, in Gonzales, CA, serves Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito,
Santa Clara, and San Luis Obispo Counties. At this location, we
warehouse Crop Protection Chemicals for all of the major
manufacturers, and pride ourselves on rapid, on-time deliveries. In
addition, our fertilizer storage facilities are state of the art,
and have the capability to blend liquid and dry products to meet the
customer's specific agronomic needs.
We employ nine licensed Pest Control Advisers, with Certified Crop
Advisers on staff as well. Our knowledgeable and experienced
advisers consult on 40,000 acres of crops throughout the five
counties. Our branch location, in Yuma, Arizona, was set up to serve
the local, year-round growers as well as the Salinas Valley growers
who move annually to the desert region for winter production. We
cover all counties from Yuma to Maricopa in Arizona in addition to
Imperial County, California. We offer the same goods and services to
the produce, melon, field crop, and citrus growers in this region as
we do in the Salinas Valley. Our three Pest Control Advisers are
licensed in both California and Arizona, and consult on 10,000 acres
of cropland.
In order to grow with the ever-changing agricultural industry, we
continually strive to expand our product lines and our target
markets. In 2010, we opened a retail store at the Gonzales, CA
location that offers a full line of farm, safety, and harvesting
supplies, as well as top quality animal feeds. We have extended our
crop consulting services as well, to now include Berries, Grapes,
and Turf and Ornamentals.
