HLB Specialties is expanding its line of tropical products and is looking to add a position in our sales team.
 

We import, market, and sell papayas and other tropical items from South and Central America. We supply all major retailers and wholesalers in the USA and some in Canada. Our strength lies in superior quality products coupled with exceptional customer service and true knowledge of the product and industry.

We seek an entry level sales associate with the possibility for growth within the company to a higher sales/marketing level. Join our team as an integral part of our success and help us expand and strengthen our reach beyond current items and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain regular communication with clients and complete all facets of order fulfillment (create orders, enter them in inventory and accounting system).

• Develop new customers.

• Understand our clients’ needs and work toward finding solutions on how to improve our service and increase their sales.

• Think forward to anticipate possible problems in the supply chain and take necessary steps to avoid them before they happen.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be self-motivated, confident, optimistic, and energetic, with drive to develop new as well as maintain existing accounts with major retailers and wholesalers on a national level.

• Must have a minimum of one year in produce sales.

• Have excellent follow-through and attention to detail.

• Be eager to learn.

• Be a good communicator in person and have good phone etiquette.

• Spanish preferred but not required.

• Be service-oriented.

• Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel also preferred.

• Customer references required.
