Headquartered in Castroville, California, near Monterey Bay, Ocean Mist Farms is
one of California’s leading growers of high quality produce. We have an
affiliation with seven companies with operations in California, Arizona &
Mexico. We are the largest producer of artichokes and ship approximately 30
other major products. Our operations include plant breeding, farming,
harvesting, cooling, distribution and sales. Ocean Mist Farms is a leading
grower/shipper and our products are sold both domestically and internationally.
A privately held company since 1924, we have approximately 1,100 field, sales,
shipping and administrative employees supporting year-round operations and we
own our modern headquarters and cooling/distribution facilities. A
majority of our workforce is bilingual. We have a very cohesive and talented
executive management team, most of whom are life-long agriculturists, and all
are outstanding business people. Within the agriculture industry, Ocean

POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Analyst will translate system and process needs into Solution
Requirements for all Ocean Mist Farms and Affiliated companies. This position
reports to the Chief Financial Officer tasked with business transformation.
The successful candidate will need heavy project management skills including
budgetary control and resource allocation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be engaged in
work efforts at all levels ranging from business process review
and re-engineering;
-
Make recommendations for
enhancements to existing software to meet user needs;
-
Oversee new software application
implementations;
-
Will lead diverse teams to drive
consensus and negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among
project stakeholders;
-
Elicit, Document and Validate user
requirements;
-
Collaborate with developers and
subject matter experts to establish a technical vision;
-
Other duties as assigned.

Previous experience working with or
leading diverse teams to drive consensus including negotiating
priorities and resolving conflicts among project stakeholders;

Previous experience eliciting,
documenting, and validating user requirements;

Previous experience collaborating
with developers and subject matter experts to establish a
technical vision;
-
Must be a Strategic thinker focused
on competitive positioning by achieving cost and risk
reductions, improvement in product quality, and external
customer service metrics
-
Knowledge and experience in leading
complex initiatives requiring information technology changes,
process re-engineering and supply chain network redesign,
redesign, new job design and training;
-
Formulates and defines systems scope
and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with
an understanding of applicable business systems and industry
requirements; experience with Enterprise Database applications;
-
Develops or modifies the most
complex information systems. Includes analysis of business and
user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing
systems log difficulties as necessary;

Considers the business implications
of the application of technology to the current business
environment;
-
Knowledge in and working experience
with test planning, test execution and test results analyses.

plans that deliver results;

A clear understanding of Enterprise
Architecture concepts is required;

achievement working in a customized software development
environment required;
