Continuously analyze sales numbers in comparison to the marketing budget to understand the marketing spend ROI, determine the actual profit margin, and decide which campaigns were most effective. Product Innovation: Ability to identify, research, and commercialize opportunities for new product and packaging innovation that align with our brand strategy and help deliver our annual operating Plan. Business Analytics: Able to use syndicated, consumer, and customer data to identify business insights and recommend solutions that optimize results. Develop monthly/quarterly business reviews and ad-hoc analyses. Adept with IRI, Nielsen, customer databases, etc. Marketing: Manages the briefing and development of consumer communication plans in collaboration with our supporting agencies. General Position Responsibilities: Lead all new product activities utilizing our stage-gate process, including concept/ideation, assessment, development, commercialization/launch, and ongoing execution/tracking. Analyze brand positioning, consumer insights, and account insights. Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies. Engage retailer marketing and category management teams to develop and execute account-specific marketing programs and determine which are strongest in terms of driving cost-effective trial and repeat. Lead creative development to motivate the target audience to “take action.” Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications, and sales estimates. Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess ROI and KPIs. Monitor market trends, research consumer markets, and competitors’ activities. Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions. Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices, and tactics. Conduct research to identify market trends and target customers’ preferences. Create marketing plans to increase brand awareness. Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities. Ensure strong brand presence in online and offline channels. Appoint, manage, and evaluate all external marketing and market research agencies.
