Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supply:

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for full end-to-end leadership from the time the product is cooled to the time it is shipped to Bonduelle’s processing facilities. This person will be accountable for planning, organizing, and managing across the entire AG value chain. The Director of AG Supply Chain is someone who is a great communicator, project manager, and an analytical thinker. Most importantly they are someone who is a natural collaborator and a team player, that will be able to get the most out of the existing team.

Key Deliverables & Characteristics:           

  • Improve processes and policies to support organizational goals.
  • Direct the Ag Sourcing and Supply Department including team development and engagement.
  • Manage supply contracts demonstrating strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • Management of all activities related to raw product sourcing.
  • Lead negotiations in assigned commodities and specific contracts.
  • Collaborates with leadership in strategic supplier management processes including grower scorecards.
  • Planning, organizing and managing across the entire AG value chain, from cooler to our processing facilities.
  • Manage forecasting tools and data to maximize efficiencies.
  • Monitor agricultural activities, making sure that key goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure actual production is in accordance with demand forecast, and identify and solve deviations.
  • Review data and any related AG daily/weekly, driving solutions.
  • Supports the VP of Ag Ops in budget process.
  • Support field operations from harvest, post-harvest, and shipping.
  • Maintain business activities in line with budget, KPI’s and support in creating of budget for key segments.
  • Direct all raw product inventory and ensure all orders are filled out of the coolers.
  • Coach, develop, and monitor performance of team.
  • Lead supply planning meetings and ensure goals are on track.
  • Optimize supply chain inputs/outputs to drive strong results.
  • Work closely with the cross-functional business units such as Forecasting, Demand Planning, and Manufacturing to ensure efficient coordination of schedules, activities, and projects.
  • Maintain business activities in line with budget, KPI’s and support in creating of budget for key segments.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role with proven hands-on management skills.
  • Ability to understand the supply chain process from sourcing-to-shelf, develop solutions and implement action plans.
  • Courage to make tough decisions, challenge current processes and to deliver difficult messages with professionalism.
  • A passion for learning and a craving to work in a fun culture.
  • Systems: JDE or similar ERP system experience. Tableau or similar reporting database experience. Strong familiarity with Excel.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
