Must be knowledgeable in equipment rigging safety requirements as they apply to equipment moving and installation.
Must be knowledgeable in forklift and scissors lift safety operation.
Must have working knowledge in 480-volt electrical safety practices.
Must be able to troubleshoot systems up to 480 volts with complicated electrical controls and wire 3 phase motors.
Must have working knowledge of basic protective equipment requirements as they apply to maintenance personnel.
Must be knowledgeable in equipment Lock-Out/Tag-Out requirements.
Must be knowledgeable in Chemical handling procedures and drum storage practices.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic/Hydraulic control systems.
Must be knowledgeable in operating and maintaining process equipment as; air compressors, Steam boilers and CIP System (Clean In Place Process)
Must be able to rebuilt gearboxes, centrifugal pumps and replace mechanical shaft seals.
Must be able to time automated equipment drives using the vendor’s manuals and specifications.
Must be knowledgeable in mechanical drive fundamentals, i.e. chain drive sprocket and gearbox ratios etc.
Must be able to read piping diagrams and identify the function of various components for air and water distribution systems.
Must be able to replace automated equipment and mechanical components.
Must be able to perform complex building mechanical repairs.
Must be knowledgeable in exterior and interior lighting repairs.
Must be able to perform plumbing and welding repairs.
Complete PM’S and Daily inspection reports in conjunction with SCHEDULE/UNSCHEDULE Work Order requested.
In the event that the Maintenance Foreman is out, Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager will back up daily duties.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures to determine dimensions and material needed.
Ability to solve practical problems and challenges where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to work productively with minimum supervision, work with a variety of people, and work well under pressure.
Must be able to follow all safety practices and procedures, i.e. personal protective equipment, chemical handling, etc.
Must have working knowledge of basic protective equipment requirements as they apply to maintenance personnel
Able to lift up to 50lbs. by following proper lifting techniques
Must be able to operate safely a scissors lift and be Forklift certified.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial Electricity.
