Job description

The Warehouse Operations Manager receives and stores product by designing and developing product movement and storage systems; improving operations; managing staff.


  • Implements standard warehouse operations processes for receiving, storing, picking, kitting, and shipping.
  • Achieves warehouse operations performance indicators such as, Perfect Order, On-Time Delivery, Dock-to-Stock, and Inventory cycle count accuracy. Develops optimal warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems to drive operational efficiencies and reduce costs. Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implements changes.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations. Secures property by developing protection and access policies and procedures; coordinates security patrols.
  • Accomplishes warehouse operations objectives by selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures; and promoting corporate values.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Liaison with vendors and general contractors to receive feedback on warehouse operations performance and ensure both internal/external Customer Satisfaction.
  • Liaison and oversee third party warehouse operations to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Develops standard reporting for volumetrics (Ins/Outs), dead inventories, quarantined inventories, etc.


  • 10+ years’ experience in warehouse operations management.
  • 4+ years’ experience in Produce industry preferred.
  • Excellent managerial and training skills.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational & problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, & Power Point).
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing performance indicators.
