Position Title: QA Supervisor                                                                                        

Reports:  Food Safety Manager/Director                                                                    

Location:San Juan Bautista, Salinas or Gonzales

The primary role of the QA Crew Supervisor is to train and audit compliance in the facility related to the Food Safety and Quality requirements set forth by Regulatory, Customers, Auditing Bodies, Organic Requirements, and internal Taylor Farms Requirements.

Primary Work Assignments

  • On the floor verification of execution of Quality and Food Safety Verification tasks, inspections and implementation of food safety and quality policies and protocols.
  • Continuous improvement – identify opportunities for improvement in food safety, quality productivity or compliance. Develop programs to improve, train team members on changes and verify ongoing compliance.
  • Verification and Validation studies and report development to uphold the requirements of the SQF program.
  • Data analysis and report trending for food safety and Quality systems reports to Management.
  • GMP, Food Safety and Quality compliance on the floor.
  • Root cause analysis and preventative measures. Work with colleagues and leadership for problem resolution and long-term solutions including recommendation for capital expenditures.
  • Customer complaint Corrective Action Preventative Action investigations and documentations.
  • Possess strong ability and desire to train employees on key job functions. Focus efforts on improving food safety and quality procedure understanding.
  • Quality Systems knowledge required for Department related documentation review. This includes but not limited to equipment calibration, CCP review, product quality evaluations and general processing documentation.
  • Shelf life studies, reports and new product launch validation and ongoing product verification.
  • Other projects assigned as growth and opportunity focuses are needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a related focus
  • Experience in QA and Food Safety
  • SQF Level III knowledge
  • HACCP/Preventative Controls trained
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Computer skills in all Microsoft applications required
  • Self-motivated, proactive and possess effective communication skills
  • English Required, bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
